Everyone else might play as if they're expendable, but I don'tĪs for OP's problem- again, don't be afraid to sell some trinkets to get yourself enough gold. I only dismiss a hero if they're genuinely unsalvageable, and only in the early stages of the game. Once I have enough to support for future runs (let's say around 50-100k) I would switch to normal parties, where I care for each character and will fix all of their quirks and sanity And won't deliberately push them to extreme death threating situations just to gain more cash, showing them I still care and not complete emotionless bastard, despite using them as disposable tools and probably dismiss them latter.īut I would only do that when I have really low amount of cash. If you try to make money from new recruits I would at least prepare them properly with supply and gear. You can still have all your favorite heroes survive, but there is always a chance that they won't come back from mission alive. Very satisfying to see them reach Darkest Dungeon and came back victorious or heroicly die in epic conclusion against powers of evil after their long compaign in this game. I was saying that sarcastically anyway But also you get quite a jorney and immersion with your favourite characters. You make a LOT more profit when you stop caring about them and focus on loot. Becoming attached to the heroes only leads to inevitable frustration/heartbreak. It should not be encoraged to play game like that. Sending them on suicide missions and kicking them out after their hard work. Originally posted by Justice: Makes you feel awful for treating your heroes like that. ![]()
